Roots and Wings
"There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One is roots; the other, wings." - Hodding Carter, Where Main Street Meets the River (1953)
From the beginning, from our Genesis, we have looked for ways to link ourselves to the past. To be rooted and grounded gives us a sense of where we belong in the present. During the weeks leading up to FUMC Grapevine’s 150th year in this community, we will sink our roots deep into the earth as we discover anew who we are, how God has showered us in the water of our baptisms, and planted us firmly in this place for ministry. Once we become settled in our past and present, we will begin to explore our future as we are lifted on wings and taught to fly.

Families in Worship
Professional childcare is provided during all worship services in “The Nest” located in the Education Building. If you’d rather worship as a family, activity binders for children are available at each worship venue. In the Sanctuary, a Family Comfort Room is located to the left as you exit. Rocking chairs, a changing station and toys are available as you watch the worship service live. Our ushers and greeters are happy to answer any questions you have about our family-friendly resources.
