FAST FACTS:

There are 600 passages that refer to giving throughout the Bible
Most talk of the tithe or tenth part and are found in both Testaments
Genesis 28:18-22, Malachi 3:10 speak of God’s faithfulness in the promise to provide for God’s people, who will respond in faithfulness as well.

Scriptural giving is characterized by two ideas:

Giving as a reflection of our relationship to God
Giving as a means of prioritizing what is valuable to us as individuals

How has God shown you his faithfulness?

How does your giving reflect your relationship with God?

What does your giving say about your priorities?

Malachi 3:1-4

“…who can endure the day of his coming…?”

The season of Advent is a time of penitence – a time to look at our lives honestly and ask ourselves how we are reflecting the love of the one God sent to be our savior. Christmas is such a joyful season the act of self-reflection often gets lost in the revelry. Spend some time today examining your live and begin the process of changing the things that need to be changed.
