Didja see those cowpokes walkin' around downtown at FUMCG on Sunday? I hear tell they dropped in on a few Sunday school classes. Word is they might be droppin' in on some others in a few weeks. I hear they're wantin' to spread the word about this year's Gala. Yeah, it's been on the
web and in the news, but we know not ever body can read, so we thought we'd better show up and make our point in some new ways this year. Seein' as how everything is gonna be new. Seein' as how it's our 10th anniversary of havin' a Gala to help fund important things that couldn't do what they do without the money we raise. And we do it legally! No raffles or nuthin like that.
BUT, this year, ya just gotta pay attention! This year it ain't gonna be fancy hotel food. Just great cowboy chow at the Austin Ranch, and ALL YOU CAN EAT! And we know how much Methodists eat, so the price is goin' up, you can jist count on it! Also, there ain't gonna be those 20 dollar grab bags. Instead we got a great thing that has sumpin' to do with balloons and envelopes for you to get alot better stuff and you can maybe get a big gift certificate to a really fancy restaurant and great gift cards to your favorite places. We'll be playin' something called Heads or Tails and it's guaranteed to make the evening even more fun than watchin' your horse fall in the mud!
But wait! We're fixin to let you know how you can get in on the action even before November 10. Even if you can't get to the Ranch that night. That's what I mean. You gotta keep payin' attention.

Last year our take was nears about $40,000. This year it's gonna be a bigger take and then we'll be givin' it all away to the following worthy recipients: World Service Fund, Weekend Food, the Slab, Justice for our Neighbors, The Well and Youth Missions.
We don't want ANYONE to miss a chance to be part of the Gala this year. That's why you gotta be watchin' out for anything that looks like dust is bein' kicked up, cause we're determined to put more Giddyup in our Gala than ever before!
