Read Ephesians 5:1-2.

How can we be imitators of God?  We walk in love.  We love others the way Christ loved us.  We sacrifice a part of ourselves for the good of another.  Would you want God to love you, based on the way you love others?   In your prayers, ask God how you can be a fragrant offering and sacrifice to Him.

On 8/18/02012 9:28 PM, Pat said... I have never thought of trying to be a "fragrant offering" for God. However, since a fragrance usually has an effect on the people around it, I can see why these words are especially meaningful. It's a humbling thought when we realize that our "fragrance" does have a good or bad effect on everyone with whom we touch!

I hope and pray that God loves me in a much more wonderful way than I sometimes show love (or not) for others!
