Home » Ministries » Caring & Compassion » Cancer Survivors Support Group The Cancer Survivor Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in Room 2010 of the Family Life Center at First United Methodist Church Grapevine’s Downtown Campus (422 Church Street in Grapevine).

Our group members are cancer survivors.  We offer support and encouragement for cancer patients and family members and loved ones whose lives have been impacted in any way by a cancer diagnosis.  

Our Purpose

• To provide a forum in which survivors can share experiences with others, or simply listen and take comfort from those who know and understand.
• To offer support for cancer patients and loved ones who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
• To offer support for cancer patients in remission and those who are undergoing treatment.
• To offer a confidential social environment for individuals with cancer commonality.
• To consider a buddy concept to provide one-on-one support.

Group Criteria

The Cancer Survivor Support Group is open to anyone whose life is impacted by a cancer diagnosis. Membership is open to members of the church and community. The group offers  spiritual and emotional support, crisis situation assistance, and educational resources, all in a spirit of complete confidentiality.

Please consider joining our team if you or a loved one has experienced a cancer diagnosis.  Our team’s goal is to provide a safe and confidential environment representing hope and survival to you and your loved ones.   If you are a cancer survivor, we invite you to join us so that you too can help us help those who may be traveling a similar journey.
