Confirmation Class

“Confirmation” is a moment of recognition of the work of God's grace in the life of a person previously baptized as well as an embrace of being a disciple. Confirmation is a person's first public affirmation of faith.

Confirmation Classes

Confirmation Class is open to 6th and 7th graders who have not participated in confirmation before. The Confirmation Class studies what it means to have a REAL relationship with Christ. Confirmation Classes are held during the Sunday School hour.  Upon the completion of Confirmation, students choose whether or not they are ready to be confirmed and/or baptized into full membership in the church. On the designated Sunday, confirmands enjoy brunch together with their families and are confirmed during one of the morning worship services.

A membership class for older youth is held periodically for those youth who have not had an opportunity to participate in Confirmation in 6th or 7th grade.

Ash Wednesday Worship

The Confirmation Class leads the Ash Wednesday Worship Service that marks the beginning of Lent each year.
