Good Grief Support Group
Caring & Compassion
Of all the human experiences, one of the most devastating is the death of someone we love. Although grieving is a natural process, each of us goes through the pain of loss in our own way. The Good Grief Support Group is a journey in grief work that includes a unique opportunity to share your loss with others who understand, discussion of challenges, and how to gain strength as you face a "new normal." This group is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, including anyone who has attended a previous "Good Grief" group.
A new five-week session of the Good Grief Support Group will begin on Monday, April 2, 6:00-8:00 PM in Room 2002.
The group is interactive with reflective assignments between meetings. Topics that will be addressed include: telling our stories, understanding the grief process, tasks of grieving, individual factors of grieving, how children grieve, sudden death, stress management, holidays and anniversaries. The group is facilitated by a licensed professional counselor intern.
