    Community Outreach

Be a part of the following ministries that reach out to the Ministry Mile... our neighbors that live right around the church, in Grapevine and beyond!

      Local Mission Days

First Methodist helps those in need by doing home repairs and providing support during emergencies.Twice a year we have local mission days - once in the spring and once in the fall. Spring Into Missions and Fall Into Missions are times when we go out into the community on a Saturday and help people with home repairs, yard clean-up, etc. Show your compassion for others by taking part in these ministries as they occur throughout the year.

      On-Going Opportunities for Community Outreach

We have on-going needs that you can fill any time. We will be keeping various needs in front of you, so watch for them in E-News and Sunday's bulletin. Here are some needs we know of that are on-going:
      • Funds (any amount is needed) to help our neighbors in need with their utilities or rent.  Make checks payable to the church, with Benevolence Fund, on the memo line.  Contact Trudy Hughes at .
      • Serve on a team of people who will work on minor car repairs for neighbors in need. Contact Rich Whitlock, .
      • Support all of our local missions ministries (God Can, Project Read, Weekend Food, etc.)
      • Donate Box Tops for Education (clipped from commonly-used products) to Cannon Elementary. Click here for a list of products from which you can clip Box Tops.
      • Donate Computers. The Texas Center for the Visually Challenged badly needs your old computers. They are refurbished and equipped with special software that speaks to the users, then shipped all over the US. If you have an old computer to donate, Dick Guckel will gladly pick it up and deliver it for you. Contact Dick at 817-488-2005.
Questions about where you can help? Contact Volunteer Coordinator Bev Campisi at or 817-797-4936.
