United Methodist Women (UMW) is a group of women organized for mission and participation in the global ministries of the church. Church-wide unit meetings are held at various times throughout the year for fellowship and study.

About the UMW Circles

Several circles, or small groups within UMW, meet regularly:

• The Guild Circle, composed largely of working women, meets in the homes of members at 7:00 p.m. on the second Monday of months when there is no unit meeting of UMW. For more information, please call Ann Harmon, 817-488-2436.
• Wesley Friendship Circle, the only daytime circle, meets at 9:30 a.m. on the first Monday of each month (Sept.-June) in Roundtable Room. Contact: Erma Hollingsworth, 817-540-0404.
• Susanna Circle, organized for working women in their 40's and 50's, meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month, September through May, in the Library. For more information, please call Kathy Naylor, 817-481-8805.
• Sisters In Faith Circle meets the second Tuesday of the month in Leach Hall at 7:00 p.m. (child care is available with reservations.)  Our circle is focused on young and growing families who are looking for ways to serve in the church and community. UMW Sunday

Sunday, September 28, is UMW Sunday!  On that Sunday, the United Methodist Women will be conducting a Diaper Drive to collect disposable diapers for the United Community Centers of Tarrant County. Since its founding in 1909 by the First United Methodist Church, United Community Centers, Inc. (UCC) has helped Tarrant County's neediest residents. Each center is located in neighborhoods where over one-third of the population lives below the  Federal Poverty Guidelines. These families have many needs, and we can help in a small way by providing disposable diapers for their newest family members. We  invite the entire congregation to participate by bringing your disposable diaper donations on UMW Sunday, September 28. A table with basket will be in the foyer for collection. 

Church Cookbook

A few cookbooks are still available in the church office for a clearance price of $10 each. Proceeds from the sale of these cookbooks will benefit 2008 UMW mission projects. Questions? Contact Jenny Love (817-875-8472).
