Education/Background:
Melissia holds a BA in Communication from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, and an MA in Communication Studies with a focus on Computer-Mediated Communication from Regent Univeristy in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Prior to coming to FUMC Grapevine, Melissia worked for LakeRidge UMC, Aldersgate UMC, and the Northwest Texas Conference, all in Lubbock, Texas.

Family:  
Parents (Russell & Gloria), sister (Kef), canine daughters (Mable & Meg), canine nieces (Dai'Ja and Wynnie), canine siblings (Pixie and Peewee)

Favorite Scripture and why:  
I Corinthians 9:19-23, specifically "I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some." I love this passage of scripture because it indicates how God pursues us in a wide variety of ways so that we are drawn into relationship with Him.

Favorite Movie:  
While You Were Sleeping, both Shreks, Love Actually

What I like best about my ministry:  
I have a passion for communicating the gospel, and I get to work toward that every day.  Plus, I love working on the computer, graphic design, web design, etc.

For fun I enjoy:  
Geocaching, watching HGTV, playing with my dogs, playing games
