Church Library
First Methodist Grapevine has a library that is open to anyone who would like to check out a book, CD, tape or DVD. The Library is located in Room 2005 on the upper level of the Family Life Center. There is also a small sample of
adult and children’s books and videos on two carts outside Room 2001 (near the elevator in between the Founders Chapel/Education wing and the Family Life Center).
What is in the Library?
- There are inspirational books by authors such as Rick Warren, Max Lucado, Billy Graham, and Norman Vincent Peale.
- There is a wide variety of Bible study guides, commentaries and concordances to meet all your research needs.
- There are children’s books, videos, and DVDs to help your child understand the Bible and Christian values.
- There are multiple copies of teen and adult study books on many different topics.
- There is a complete audio set of the Bible.
- And there are many more subjects to interest you.
When is the Library open?
The door to the Library is always unlocked, so the Library is available whenever the church is open.
How do you check material out of the Library?
Checking out material is an easy 3-step process:
1. Remove the card from the back of the book, CD, tape, or DVD.
2. Print on the card the current date (example: 2/26/09), your name, and your telephone number.
3. Place the card in the box labeled “Circulation.”
Do you take donations for the Library?
We are always happy to accept current material that is in good physical condition. Our collection focuses on religious, moral, and ethical topics. We need to replace many of the books in our children’s section that are becoming worn. We would also like to expand our Spanish language selections for both children and adults. You might like to donate a new book or money to purchase a book on our “wish list” in honor of or memory of someone. A label will be placed inside the front cover to indicate the donation.
