Remember that concept that if you know of a need and you feel something should be done about that need, God probably has YOUR name on it for YOU to do?

A few years ago, Emily Diehm began a new ministry team serving a vital need for our church. Her dear husband Floyd had passed away and she went in and told Ken that she always thought she would like to visit the homebound. His response was "Have at it, Mom!" and the Visiting Angels team of ONE was begun!

Over these few years, the Visiting Angels team has increased to only about 4 people. Can you imagine in a church with a membership as large as ours, how many people might be kind of "stuck" at home and would appreciate receiving a visit by someone? If reading this touches your heart, then you too can be a Visiting Angel! Not a hospital visit, but just a drop by, check in and brighten someone's day visit! Emily is looking for a few more good people who might like to join her and others in this compassion ministry.

Now any of you who know Emily might be having some "less-than" self-comparison thoughts like "oh I am not nearly as angelic as Emily Diehm! I couldn't do that"! When in fact, all you've gotta have is a slice of time about once a week and a bit of information from Emily and you too could have your name on this Visiting Angel team! If helping to brighten the life of someone has YOUR name written on it, please don't wait to be in touch with Emily at .
