I used to be a High School Child Development teacher. A Home Economics vocational education course I facilitated placed Juniors and Seniors as aides to teachers in preschool classrooms and in private day care centers. This allowed me to observe lots of human behavior in young children, teenagers and teachers of all ages. Everyone who was associated with this program confirmed by their work experiences with little children that kids love to imitate, and they long to please people. They just love to help!
"LET ME HELP." These 3 simple words are often spoken by a little child in the familiarity of his own home with his own family. "Let Me Help," often spoken by a child to their teacher in the classroom. "Let Me Help" are words we keep hearing from many of you, of all ages and stages of your lives, here in the comfort of our own church family! Thanks for helping in so many ways.
I'm reminded of Jesus' friends, disciples, apostles. They all wanted to help Jesus. And that reminds me of us. His disciples today; His hands and feet. We want to imitate that love Jesus showed others through acts of kindness, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, service.
I wonder. Who would YOU like to say "Let Me Help" to? What would YOU like to do to help in a way we might have overlooked? I would really look forward to hearing from you. My cell is 817-797-4936 if you would like to discuss any helpful things with me!
