Did you hear that Guy Sellers is our new Facilities Manager? I had met Guy and a few other candidates as they visited with us in a recent staff meeting, and now the far-reaching search for just the right person has resulted in this fine find! Guy was previously the Business and Operations Manager at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Arlington, where he served for 14 years. I learned this good news by reading E-News on my phone at the Salt Lake City airport. And guess what? The very next morning, I was awakened with this thought. And I remember what that means. God didn't wake someone else up with this thought, he woke ME up with this thought. So I came back into town, I came to the church office and I went straight back to Guy's office and reintroduced myself to him. I told him I guess God had awakened me with this idea and he was very familiar with this concept. I told him one of my roles in writing this article for E-News each week is to connect members in service and I asked him what he thought about this new idea. Guy's response was this: "Catchy! Go for it! Just include women too!"

So this is an open invitation for everyone! We are such a helpful, caring congregation that I'd like to create a new ministry team named Guy's Guys! While we know Guy brings lots of great church facilities know-how with him to FUMCG, wouldn't it be great if we offered him some additional support, especially right here in the beginning? With summer programs about to kick in, how great would it be if Guy knew he could call on some willing hands and hearts and feet to work alongside our facilities team as we continue to experience and share God's love? I'm a gal, but I have never minded being one of the guys when it's helping be the hands and feet of Christ. So man, woman or child, come be a part of Guy's Guys!

Guy's Guys will begin as one of those unscripted parts that is written as the play unfolds. So if you think this could be a good fit for you, get in touch with Guy and make yourself known! Guy can be contacted at or 817-481-2559 x123. Or you can always be in touch with me about just where and how you would like to serve.
