Our Center is more concerned with who your child IS when he comes to the Center than what your child KNOWS. We must do more than teach him to sing and draw. One of the biggest tasks is to help him get along with other children and adults and to find satisfaction in his daily living. A good program must make him feel that he has a place in a group and that he can succeed at something. We want our Center to be pleasant and to be a place where he comes to believe in himself even as he learns to respect others.
- To see each child as an individual, and to help her develop self-esteem, to see herself as a very special person....a child of God.
- To help her become increasingly aware of God’s world about her, with all its beauty, its wonder and its dependability, and to learn to relate to people and things in a Christian manner.
- To help her meet her needs in a way that will encourage growth and development as a fully functioning person...intellectually, socially, physically, emotionally and spiritually
The program consists of creative art activities, story time, free play, playground time, music and songs each week for older children.
Toddlers: This is a time for exploration and discovery of their world. The young child is becoming increasingly aware of things around him. He will increase his receptive and expressive language skills through manipulating concrete objects and shapes. He is in awe of his world.
Two Year Olds: Our Two-year-old class encourages group play and self-reliance. There will be a steady increase in concrete development as it applies to pre-academic skills. This is a time to help the child move from awareness centered on themselves to concern for others around them.
Preschool Three Year Olds: The Three-year-old classes will encourage group play and self-reliance. It develops gross and fine motor coordination through the use of creative activities. The child is presented with experiences other than home-centered activities. The basic goals are understanding and following simple directions and developing a positive self-image.
Preschool Four Year Olds: The Four-year-old class readies children for good adjustment in school living, for attention to group guidance, and for self-reliance in the routines of social living. It broadens the child’s outlook and enriches this experience with appropriate creative arts, stories, songs and group games. Through associations and games, your child will be exposed to letters and their sounds, numbers and their meanings, colors, and shapes.
Our Transitional Kindergarten class has been formed to accommodate those characteristics of “developmental youngness.” It is designed for those children who need an extra year to develop the skills needed to feel confident and to succeed in a larger and perhaps full-day Kindergarten program.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. - Proverbs 22:6
