T-Shirts
You
may have seen a few new t-shirts around that say
"First Methodist Church Grapevine." We
came up with these shirts as a way of identifying
our volunteers when they are working out in the
community. They were first used at the GCISD
Health Fair a couple of weekends ago and then
again this weekend at Main Street Days. We
are offering t-shirts to anyone who would
like to purchase one. The cost is $10 (for all
sizes S to 3XL) and proceeds will go to Missions.
We continue to take pre-paid orders through June
20. The shirts will be available for
pick-up by June 27. Place your order using the
Check-In in Sunday's bulletin and attach your
check.

Travel
Treasures
When you go on your summer or business travels, keep the
Night in New
Orleans Gala and Auction in mind! Come home with something special from your trip to donate to the auction.
We've come up with a little game to help you have fun with it! Take a
Mardi Gras mask (provided by us) and snap a photo of you and/or your auction item in that exotic (or not-so-exotic) locale.
Bob and Bev Campisi have gotten us started with
their "Travel Treasure" - a stuffed
moose from Randolph, Utah!
If you would like to pick up a Mardi-Gras mask to take with you when you travel, there will be a supply on the shelf
by the reception desk in the church office. We’re challenging each Adult Sunday School class to get five Travel Treasure donations by September 12 (the day ticket sales begin).

Mission
Green Tip of the Week: Solar Clothes Drying
Clothes dryers use the equivalent of 58 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity a year nationally, so there's no question about the virtues of solar clothes-drying. Hang up a clothesline now; hardware stores carry plenty of clothesline gadgets. And in winter, dry your stuff inside, using a clothes rack.

Evening Precepts Bible Study Interest
We are considering an evening Precepts Bible Study class and looking to see who might be interested. The Precepts Inductive Bible Study method studies the text of
scripture first and refers to the work of others second. It takes you directly to the Bible as your primary source using a straightforward investigative approach. Individual time is spent observing Scripture to know what the Bible says, using principles of interpretation to understand what it means, culminating in personal application. Weekly homework is included in this study. It's a very rewarding experience! Contact Nancy Johnson at
pajnaj@verizon.net
or 817-424-0297 for more information or to indicate your interest in this class.
Day, time and location will be determined based on
the needs of those who express an interest.
