Seven Days

Lenten Sermon Series: Seven Days

During the season of Lent, Ken and Randy will deliver a sermon series called "Seven Days." Each Sunday we will take an in-depth look at one day of Holy Week - the last week of Christ's ministry on earth before His death and resurrection. Here's a more detailed look at the focus for each week:

February 21: Palm Sunday/ Monday - Matthew 21:1-17

February 28: Tuesday – Matthew 21:18-25

March 7: Wednesday – Matthew 26:3-16

March 14: Maundy Thursday – Matthew 26:17-75

March 21: Good Friday – Matthew 27:1-61

March 28: Saturday – Matthew 27:62-66; Chancel Choir will perform “The Last Seven Words of Jesus”

April 4: Easter Sunday – Matthew 28

Fill the Hole - Help Someone in Need!

Fill The Hole!

Don't just give up something this Lenten season... take something on! Throughout the season of Lent, there will be opportunities for you to "fill the hole" we've been talking about in the book, The Hole in Our Gospel. Look for the cross displays in the Sanctuary foyers and Founders Chapel atrium starting today. Each tag displayed will list a way in which you can make a difference in the lives of those who are needy - both in our community and around the world. Take a tag... or two... or five... and make it your Lenten project! Please note that when you take an item off of the cross, you are responsible for following through with it by contacting the person indicated on the tag. Need help choosing or need more information? Contact Volunteer Coordinator Bev Campisi at beverlyc@fumcg.org or 817-797-4936. Click here for more information and to see a list of some of the opportunities available.

Recycle Your Book!

If you are no longer using your copy of The Hole in Our Gospel, you may return your book to the church office. We will pass it on to someone else who would like to read it, or to another church that's doing the study.
