Missions and Community Outreach Work
This year our Angel Tree is benefiting GRACE’s Christmas Cottage. GRACE’s Christmas Cottage will serve over 400 families, including 1,300 children this year! The Cottage is a store-like setting where GRACE clients can shop for their families. It allows parents to have a sense of dignity and pride as they pick out the perfect gifts for each child. Please help us support this wonderful ministry.
Please return your Angel Tree gifts to the church office by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12!
There are volunteer opportunities as well: pick-up and deliver food and toys, assist with on-site distribution, work at the Christmas Cottage, bake cookies, help clean up, etc. If you are interested in volunteering for the Christmas Cottage, please email Anna Shore at volunteer@gracegrapevine.org.
Christmas Makeovers
We thought it would be fun to provide Christmas makeovers for the mothers on our Angel Tree. It is not too late to donate gift certificates for manicures, pedicures or other pampering services. Please bring your donations to the church office by Friday, December 14 at 5:00 PM or hand-deliver them to Cindy Ryan on Sunday morning, December 16.
On Sunday, December 16, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM in Leach Hall, we will have the makeover session. We will provide holiday snacks and then will give away lots of fun door prizes! Kathy Reece is helping to coordinate this event, so please contact her (kathypreece@gmail.com) or Dr. Cindy Ryan (cindyr@fumcg.org) if you would like to help with this special event or if you have something to donate.
