Fill the Hole

Fill the Hole"What's Next?" Gathering

We had a great time at the "What's Next?" meeting!  There were many ideas shared, from teaching adults to read to providing water in third world countries to expanding into a transportation ministry. If you have a BIG DREAM you'd like to share, Ken would like to hear it! Contact him at 817-481-2559 or kend@fumcg.org.Get a fresh perspective and hear what church member Hole in Our GospelLorie Payne is thinking - she wrote all about it on her blog this week (click here to read it). We're hearing some great stories about how people are "Filling the Hole"! Be sure to share your story with one of our staff members.  We'll be including them in the Updates section of E-News each week.

Recycle Your Book!
If you are no longer using your copy of The Hole in Our Gospel, you may return your book to the church office. We will pass it on to someone else who would like to read it, or to another church that's doing the study.

Don't just give up something this Lenten season... take something on!

Throughout the season of Lent, we ask you to "fill the hole" we've been talking about in the book The Hole in Our Gospel. Below is a look at some of the opportunities that are before you. Visit the cross display in the Sanctuary Foyer (both campuses) or Founders Chapel Atrium to choose the item you want. Each tag displayed on the crosses lists a way in which you can make a difference in the lives of those who are needy - both in our community and around the world. Take a tag and make it your Lenten project! Please note that when you take an item off of the cross, you are responsible for following through with it by contacting the person indicated on the tag. Note that new tags on the cross will have a different color ribbon than the brown used in previous weeks. Need help choosing or need more information? Contact Volunteer Coordinator Bev Campisi at beverlyc@fumcg.org or 817-797-4936.
