The SLAB

The Church on the Slab is literally a slab of concrete on the northwest corner of I-35 and Rosedale in Ft. Worth, TX.  Every Sunday morning church services are held at 9:30 AM. Afterwards a hot breakfast is served, along with assistance to the growing homeless population in our community.

Every third Sunday of the month, we meet at the Heritage Campus at 9:30 AM and go together to volunteer at the SLAB. You may also wish to take your own vehicle and meet there. Click here for directions.

Basketball Classes Benefiting The SLAB
This summer, several area basketball coaches are offering basketball skill development to area players with the proceeds supporting The Church on the Slab. The goal is to offer ‘serious’ junior high, high school and college players an opportunity to polish their game through instruction from former collegiate All- Americans, top notch coaches and highly skilled trainers. We are hosting the classes in the Family Life Center gym on June 18, June 21 and July 5, at 6:00 PM each evening. Classes are limited to 12 players. The normal fees associated with classes are waived for this special session. The coaches request that each week - in lieu of paying for the skill acquisition and training - parents and players make a generous donation to The Church on the Slab. In-Kind Donations
There is also a need for donations to be taken to the SLAB. The following are current needs: travel size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash), disposable razors, men's belts, men and women's underwear, boots, USED tennis shoes. With the cold weather approaching they are also requesting the following items: warm coats, hooded sweatshirts, blankets, pillows, wool caps w/ear flaps. All types of men and women's warm clothing are needed, too. Please no RED clothing items (due to gang associations). These items can be dropped off at the church office, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or on Sunday morning.
