Wren received his college education at Northern Oklahoma College, Oklahoma Baptist University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Wichita State University. In addition to leading worship, choir and instrumentalists, Wren has also been involved in musical drama and has taught vocal music and music theory at two colleges. Wren’s exceptional musical expertise is complimented by his knowledge of sound systems and multi-media technology.
Wren has worked in a variety of churches and denominations over the last 20 years. For 5½ years he did an outstanding job working with Ken at Saint Andrew’s UMC in the same position. At Saint Andrew’s, Wren oversaw a music program that included adult choir, children’s choir, hand bells, orchestra, a brass group and praise bands.
Wren’s team approach to music begins with his wife Jill. They have developed a superb style of leading worship together. Jill is an accomplished musician and both are talented soloists. Wren and Jill have three grown children: Jennifer, Neely, and Christopher. |
